So where does the “momentum” in Momentum Massage come from? Momentum is the quantity of motion of the human body. An individualized, comprehensive massage and mobility program keeps people moving, healing, and progressing in a forward direction.

Dylan is familiar with the work it takes to return to sport and movement after injury.

He grew up in Connecticut and was introduced to the sport of Parkour in 2010, following the tenets of moving one’s body through an environment in the most efficient way from point A to point B. In 2015, while teaching an advanced trampoline course, he suffered a spinal injury that would require corrective surgery. During his recovery, he worked with many doctors, surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors, and athletic trainers. While re-learning how to walk and move without pain, the biggest impact was having someone help in each step of recovery. A full year later, and shortly after being released from physical therapy, he entered into a program at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (Now the Cortiva Institute). During school, Dylan found his true passion of helping others recover from injuries while educating them about the human body. After graduating from the intensive 730-hour program he moved to Massachusetts in 2017.

While concentrating on his passion for rock climbing and moonlighting as a massage therapist, Dylan thrived in helping others learn how to use their bodies in a new physical setting. These common interests led to a class (provided by the company Rocktape) called “RockBlades” also known as “IASTM” in early 2019. Shortly after the class, Dylan quit his job at the rock climbing gym to focus on massage full time while working at Elements Massage of Burlington. His next opportunity at The Village Chiropractor in Wakefield allowed him to work in conjunction with chiropractic professionals using a team-based approach toward a patient’s care rather than a typically isolated massage setting.

In 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Dylan enrolled in several advanced mobility specialist classes that made him realize he wanted something to call his own. He deliberately focuses on each aspect of a person’s movement throughout the day, taking into consideration their habits of exercise, work, and how they sleep to create a holistic, individualized program (he’s known for giving his clients “homework”).

Let’s keep the momentum going.
